500th meeting of DESCO's Board of Directors held

Due to the correct, honest and efficient leadership, uninterrupted power supply has been possible throughout the country, including DESCO, during this holy month of Ramadan.

It has not been possible to ensure 100% customer service throughout the country during Ramadan with any magic spell, only with the specific instructions of the correct leadership, commented Muhammad Rafiqul Islam, Chief Executive Officer (Secretary) PPPA and Chairman of DESCO Board. The 500th Board Meeting of DESCO Board was held on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at 3:00 PM at DESCO's SCADA Centre in Mirpur. Honourable Chairman of DESCO Board Muhammad Rafiqul Islam started the meeting by presenting floral greetings and commemorative crests to all the board members on the occasion of the 500th meeting. At this time, DESCO's Managing Director, Brigadier General Shamim Ahmed (Retd), presented flowers and a commemorative crest to the Chairman of the Board.

First, the steps DESCO took to ensure uninterrupted power supply during the holy month of Ramadan and improve the quality of customer service were discussed. At the 500th Board Meeting, in the presence of all members, including the Managing Director of DESCO, the Chairman of the Board committed to quality, uninterrupted power supply, and improvement of customer service. DESCO's managing director, Brigadier General Shamim Ahmed, NDC, PSC (Retd), directors of the board of directors, and concerned officials were present at the meeting.
