Chasing a target of 252, India reached 253 for 6 in 49 overs, with captain Rohit Sharma leading the charge with a composed 76 off 83 deliveries. Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, and Axar Patel provided valuable support to ensure India's comfortable victory.
New Zealand, batting first after winning the toss, posted 251 for 7. Daryl Mitchell top-scored with a measured 63 off 101 balls, while Michael Bracewell's unbeaten 53 off 40 deliveries added late momentum. Rachin Ravindra (37 off 29) and Glenn Phillips (33 off 43) also contributed, but the total proved insufficient against a clinical Indian side.
