All nine members, including Joint Convener Mehedy Sajeeb and Joint Member Secretary Salauddin Ammar, from Rajshahi University have resigned from their positions in the central committee of the newly formed Bangladesh Ganatantrik Chhatra Sangsad.

Salauddin Ammar confirmed the resignations tonight (27 February), stating, "We, the nine members from Rajshahi University who were placed in the committee, have stepped down because this student union does not align with the sentiments of RU students."

Meanwhile, Mehedy Sajeeb also announced his resignation through a Facebook post, expressing dissatisfaction with the party's structure and leadership.

In his official Facebook post today (27 February), Sajeeb wrote, "Today, my name was announced as a joint convener in the central committee of the Bangladesh Ganatantrik Chhatra Sangsad.

"I refuse to be part of this platform in protest against the rising new fascist mindset cantred around Dhaka and Dhaka University under the guise of a new political arrangement," he added.

Sajeeb further said, "The central leadership attempted to reach out to me several times through an intermediary, but none of them deemed it necessary to contact me directly. Last night, however, I had already made my stance clear that I would not be part of this student organisation."

Salauddin Ammar echoed similar sentiments in his Facebook post, stating, "We made our stance clear last night. The pulse of the students matters more to us. RU students reject this DU-dominated leadership, and so do we. If the students do not support it, we have no role to play."
