Photographer Shahidul Alam Badol's album 'Mouno Mukhor Badol Din' launched

The launch event and a discussion on "Mouno Mukhor Badol Din", a photography album by Australia-based photographer Shahidul Alam Badol, took place yesterday (25 February) at Pathak Samabesh's in Dhaka's Katabon.
The event was moderated by writer Moon Rahman and featured discussions by renowned photographer and former Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry director Akkas Mahmud, photographer and researcher Sahadat Parvez, and poet Jihad Hasan, reads a press release.
Akkas Mahmud said the album serves as a valuable learning resource for the new generation of photographers.
He also expressed his hope that Badol would organise a grand exhibition in Dhaka in February to showcase his new works.
The album was published by Atmaprakash, a publishing house led by photographer Obaidul Fawah Tanvir, who shared insights into the creation of the album.
"Mouno Mukhor Badol Din" is a remarkable collection of 101 black-and-white photographs captured by Badol in various regions of Bangladesh during the 1980s.
Badol regularly holds photography exhibitions in Sydney, which receive widespread acclaim. Apart from being a well-known photographer in the city, he is also a popular reciter in Sydney's cultural circles.
