Pushkin memorial day held at the Russian House in Dhaka
On February 16, 2025, the Russian House in Dhaka hosted a literary and poetic evening dedicated to the Memorial Day of the great Russian poet Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin.
This solemn date, which holds special significance for Russian history and culture, is observed annually by the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in Bangladesh, including students, young people, graduates of Russian universities, and Russian language and literature teachers.
The event featured recitations of Pushkin's poems by students of Russian language courses, including such works as "Spring, Spring, the Time of Love," "You and Thou", "Winter Morning," and "If Life Deceives You". Participants also prepared presentations dedicated to the poet's life and work, with particular attention given to his famous poem "I Loved You: Love Still, Perhaps." The evening continued with a theatrical performance inspired by Pushkin's life.
