Student coordinators made renewed calls to ban Awami League today (14 February).

Their call comes immediately after Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus visited three locations in Dhaka which were previously used as torture cells and secret detention centres commonly referred to as "Aynaghar" this morning.

The official Facebook page of Students Against Discrimination (SAD) posted a status around 6:00pm simply saying "#BanAwamiLeague".

A similar status had been posted by coordinator Hasnat Abdullah around 5pm.

In another post, he wrote, "Aynaghar, Hasina's murder, my brother Shaheed Kashem's death in the counter-revolution. Enough is enough. There is no turning back now. The Awami League must be banned."

That a thing such as humanity exists, [Aynaghar] has taken it too far from that [and] erased it entirely…It all appears so atrocious and we are in disbelief," CA Yunus told reporters after visiting the sites in Agargaon, Kachukhet, and Uttara.

Joining him were Advisers Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Nahid Islam, Asif Mahmud, Adilur Rahman Khan, among others.
