FPCCI delegation meets Bangladesh Export Promotion Bureau for trade development

A high-level business delegation from the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) met Mr. Mohammad Anwar Hossain, Vice Chairman (Executive Head) of the Export Promotion Bureau, on 14 January 2025 for a strategic meeting aimed at promoting trade development and investment between Bangladesh and Pakistan. The session focused on bilateral trade relations and potential strategies to reduce Bangladesh's trade deficit with Pakistan.

The FPCCI delegation highlighted their ongoing efforts to foster strong business ties between both countries and to enhance trade and investment. Key sectors discussed for boosting bilateral trade included agriculture and agricultural products, man-made fibres, leather and leather goods, edible oils, halal meat, halal garments, jute and jute products, frozen fish, and home textiles.

Mr. Hossain invited the FPCCI to take part in the upcoming Dhaka International Trade Fair on a larger scale, while also discussing the possibility of sending trade delegations to each other's countries and participating in iconic trade fairs to further expand bilateral trade.
