EPB holds quarterly stakeholder meeting on Governance and Efficiency

The Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) held its quarterly meeting on 17 September 2024 to discuss improvements in institutional efficiency and effectiveness under the 'Annual Performance Agreement' (APA). The meeting, chaired by Mr. Anwar Hossain, Vice-Chairman of the EPB, was attended by the Director General of the EPB, department representatives, and 40 stakeholders from the textile and non-textile sectors.

The meeting aimed to update stakeholders on EPB's citizen services and grievance redressal mechanisms while evaluating the bureau's overall effectiveness. Mr. Hossain emphasised that many EPB services are now accessible online, with some still in the pilot phase. He also noted ongoing efforts in Business Process Engineering to reduce time, costs, and administrative visits. Stakeholders were encouraged to provide suggestions for further improving EPB services and boosting export growth.

Representatives from leading export-related institutions, including City Group, Kiam Metal Industries Limited, Meghna Group of Industries, and others, participated in discussions about diversifying exportable products, exploring new markets, and tackling export challenges.
