Jubodal activist hacked to death in Barguna
The deceased, Nasir, was a general member of Ward no 9 unit of Jubodal
A Bangladesh Jatiotabadi Jubodal activist was hacked to death in Patharghata, Barguna district on Wednesday (1 January).
Jasim Uddin Rana, convener of Patharghata upazila Jubo Dal, said that the deceased, Nasir, was a general member of Ward No. 9 unit of Jubodal. His father's name is Shahjahan.
Md Mehedi Hasan, officer-in-charge of Patharghata Police Station, said that the body was recovered and sent to the morgue for an autopsy.

According to locals, Nasir was attacked with sharp weapons by Chhatra League activists Rabbi and Hasan in the Kalmegha Nuria area while he was on his way to his in-laws' house in the afternoon. The attackers fled the scene after the assault, leaving Nasir dead on the spot.
Upon receiving the news, local BNP leaders and activists, including Patharghata upazila BNP convener Chowdhury Mohammad Faruk, rushed to the hospital.
