AB Bank elects two new vice chairmen

At the 802nd board meeting, Mr Feroz Ahmed and Mr Fazlur Rahman were elected Vice Chairmen of the Board of Directors of AB Bank PLC.

Firoz Ahmed served as a Director of AB Bank's Board of Directors. He is also the Chairman of Elite Paint Group and the Managing Director of Elite International Limited, Hexagon Chemical Complex Limited, and Ahmed Securities Services. Apart from business activities, Mr. Ahmed is also engaged with various Socio-Cultural, Philanthropic, and Sports organizations.

Mr Ahmed is a member of the Board of Trustees of Chittagong Independent University and Chittagong Metropolitan Sports Association. He is also a life member of Chittagong Zila Krira Sangstha, Red Crescent Society, Chittagong, and Maa O Shishu Haspatal, Chittagong.

Mr Fazlur Rahman joined the AB Bank Board as a Director on October 9, 2024. Before this role, he was the Chairman of AB Investment Limited and AB Securities Limited. He served as President and Managing Director of AB Bank from April 2012 to January 2014, where his visionary leadership guided the institution through pivotal financial milestones.

A Chartered Accountant with an MBA in Banking, Mr Rahman is recognised for his profound understanding of banking operations, strategic planning, and financial analysis. His leadership has been instrumental in steering organisations through short-term market fluctuations while ensuring sustainable long-term growth.
