Prime Bank organises BAMLCO conference

Prime Bank PLC, a leading financial institution renowned for its innovative and customer-focused financial solutions, recently organised the BAMLCO Conference 2024.

The event, held at the Bank's premises in Dhaka, brought together Branch Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officers (BAMLCO) from across the country.

The conference aimed to strengthen compliance practices and enhance awareness about anti-money laundering initiatives, reflecting the Bank's unwavering commitment to regulatory excellence and operational integrity.

The Conference was inaugurated by Mr A K M Ehsan, Executive Director and Head of BFIU (Acting) as the Chief Guest and chaired by Mr. Hassan O. Rashid, CEO of Prime Bank. Mr. Md. Ziaur Rahman, DMD and CAMLCO, delivered a welcome speech addressing the program participants. Mr  Abdul Aowal Choudhury, Additional Director, BFIU, conducted one session and discussed the risks and challenges of a Bank to prevent Financial Crime in the current scenario of the country and the role and responsibility of a BAMLCO for AML Compliance. The programme concluded by awarding ten BAMLCO's for their performance in combating money laundering and terrorist financing through banking channels.
