Eastern Bank hosts special night for educational agencies

Eastern Bank PLC. (EBL), a leader in student banking, hosted a Student Agency Night on Thursday at its head office at Gulshan area of the city, bringing together premier educational agencies specialising in guiding students to pursue higher education abroad.

 Representatives from around 150 educational agencies were present at this ceremony.  

Speaking on the occasion, Ali Reza Iftekhar, Managing Director and CEO of EBL, said, "EBL always believes that education is a tool for shaping the future of a nation. By providing financial assistance and guidance to help students fulfil their dreams of higher education, we would like to contribute to developing a skills base to harness our demographic dividend."

EBL has been working to empower youth and make global education accessible through innovative financial products and partnerships. The student File service proposition offered by EBL is best known for providing customised banking solutions to students going abroad for higher education. Designed for convenience and efficiency, EBL Student File service provides a seamless and hassle-free way to transfer funds internationally. EBL is serving this service from its 85 branches to make the process easier for students.

EBL Deputy Managing Director and Head of Retail and SME Banking M. Khorshed Anowar, Head of Business Syed Zulkar Nayen, Head of Communications and External Affairs Ziaul Karim, Branch Area Head-Dhaka Farzana Ali, Senior Manager- Bancassurance and Student Banking Md. Khairul Hassan was present at the agency night.
