The number of Certificates, Licenses, and Permits (CLPs) issued automatically through the Bangladesh Single Window (BSW) System has surpassed 300,000, marking a major leap in the country's customs modernisation and trade facilitation efforts.

Operated under the National Board of Revenue (NBR), the BSW System allows paperless, streamlined processing of CLPs essential for import and export consignments.

According to NBR data, 87.05% of CLPs were issued within an hour, while 95.39% were processed in less than a day—entirely through automated means.

The NBR has extended congratulations to the seven government agencies that have gone live on the BSW platform as of 2 January 2025. These are: Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (Bepza), Directorate General of Drug Administration (DGDA), Department of Explosives (DOEX), Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), Bangladesh National Authority for Chemical Weapons Convention (BNACWC), Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (Beza), and Department of Environment (DoE)

The NBR expressed optimism that the remaining 12 regulatory bodies will be integrated into the system by 1 June 2025, allowing all CLPs to be issued online through the BSW platform.

The NBR urged all stakeholders in the import-export sector to actively support the implementation of the BSW System.

For assistance, stakeholders are advised to contact the BSW call center at 16139 or visit www.bswnbr.gov.bd.
