Global rice production reached 545.5 million tonnes in marketing year 2025, up 0.59% from 542.3 million tonnes in the previous marketing year. Bangladesh's rice production increased 3% from 36.6 million tonnes a year earlier, with a total harvested area of 11.8 million hectares.
