The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), comprising Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, hosts nearly 62 million people, of whom around 35 million are migrants, mostly from South Asia. Saudi Arabia alone accommodates 2.6 million Bangladeshi migrants, representing more than half of all Bangladeshi migrants in the GCC.
