UN report identifies the drugs most prevalent worldwide

In 2023, around 316 million people used drugs worldwide, an increase of 28% over the past decade. Cannabis remained the most commonly used drug representing 4.6% of the global population aged 15 to 64, a 34% rise over the past ten years.
