Division-wise breakdown: 84% of Bangladesh’s workforce still informally employed

According to the Labour Force Survey 2024, the number of informally employed people in Bangladesh stands at 5.80 crore, accounting for 84.0% of the total employed population of 7.17 crore. Of them, 1.32 crore were in urban areas and 4.48 crore in rural areas.
