The web content Twin Returns was released on OTT platform Binge a few days ago. The story and screenplay of the series are written by actress Sohana Saba. She also played the lead role. The content has already been praised by the viewers.

We talked with the actress about Twin Returns and her plans of taking the new role as a producer.

At first, she told us about the story of the recently released web content.

"The story is based on the mysterious psychological life of twin sisters. I have played the role of twin sisters named Prema and Dima.

Although the story is mine, the web content is directed by Alok Hasan. Besides me, Manoj Pramanik, Majnun Mizan, Runa Khan, Sushma Sarkar, Ridhis Chowdhury, Rahat, Disha and others have also acted in it," said Sohana.

She is currently planning on a new project but said that it is too early to disclose it. "It is better not to disclose the plan until everything is final."
She is having a busy time with her production house Khamarbari. Besides acting, she is also being regular in production. Saba has planned three new films from her production house. One is named Jayeeta, which will be made for Binge. The other two will be released in theatres. She will be directing one of these films herself. "If all goes well, the production of Jayeeta will start very soon," she said.

There is a news that she is also going to appear in a new film outside of her production. Prosenjit Chatterjee, the popular actor from Kolkata, is set to act against her in that film. But Saba remained silent about the news.

"Everything will be revealed in time. Discussion is going on about my appearance in the film. Director Shamim Ahmed Rony and production company Shapla Media can say better than me," said Saba.

Sohana Saba has been acting since childhood. Although she was busy with dramas in the beginning, she became more popular with the audience by acting in films. She started her journey in the film industry with Ayna. Some of her other films include Khelaghar, Chandragrahan, Brihannala, Priyatmeshu. She also appeared in a Kolkata movie named Shararipu.

Although she started acting in films in 2006, the number of her films is still very few. Is she lagging behind many of her contemporary actresses? "It's not like I've acted in a lot of dramas. But I was busy there. Over the last few years, I've been frustrated with the dramas' stories and directors."

"Sometimes the scripts seemed interesting but while I went for shooting, I saw the opposite. I refused a lot of work because of this. I lost my interest for any new work," she said.

She also shared her experience of acting in a Dipta TV serial. "I have acted in a serial called Khelaghor and Madhyavartini. This is the first time I saw a professional workplace in the country. Everything is so tidy that I have been fascinated by that."

"For example,", she said, "If there is any eating scene in a drama, whether it is in the evening or at night, the leftover of the launch is used for the shooting of the scene. It becomes hard to eat that stale food. But you have to eat that food while acting. But in Dipta TV or any other professional production house, whatever the shooting is, it is done with absolutely fresh food. That's the difference."

She said that she came to production for these reasons. "I have come to production to eliminate this kind of unprofessionalism. But it's a good sign that the situation has been changing, many are now doing great things. Many are being serious with their professionalism. That is why our work is moving forward internationally," said Saba.

Saba also talked about her personal issues. "A lot of horrible things have happened in my life. I have come forward through handling them."

"I think that's why I have become Saba now. But it's true, sometimes it needs a push to go forward. Bad times come. After three or four months of such an incident, it seems that life would have been different without them. And I take most things in life positively. I think good times will come because of this bad time," said Saba with an optimistic tone.
