Popular musician Roger Waters has praised Bangladeshi-origin English footballer Hamza Choudhury for raising Palestinian flag on Saturday after his club Leicester City won the FA Cup.

The legendary musician posted a video on Facebook and Twitter showing his support for Hamza.

Roger Waters in his video mentioned that he his "heart leapt with joy" after seeing such a young player taking the stand against oppression and desecration of human rights.

Roger also stated that he has started a petition to help the people of Palestine.

"We will try and get l FIFA and UEFA to tell the Israeli Football Association to tell very politely that until their country comprises with international law and ensures basic human rights for the people, to respectfully not bother turning up in international and club competitions," Waters added.

The musician thanked the Celtic supporters for being supportive of Hamza and ended his video saying, "If we're taking a knee against racism every Saturday, why aren't we all, players and fans, joining in this campaign to stop Israel operating against Palestine in the extremely racist system?"

The legendary musician and bassist for Pink Floyd has been actively voicing his stance against the Israeli oppression on Gaza.

In an earlier post, Roger Waters called out Israel as an apartheid state for evicting people of Palestinians from their homes in East Jerusalem.

According to a report by Reuters, Israel has reported only 10 deaths while at least 153 people, including 42 children, have been killed in Gaza since Monday
