Leonardo DiCaprio to produce and star in ‘Another Round’ remake
Leonardo DiCaprio's Appian Way production company has acquired the rights to remake the film

The Danish film Another Round, starring Mads Mikkelsen, won Best International Film at the 93rd Academy Awards this weekend. Now it seems that American studios are attempting to profit from the film's popularity. According to Deadline, Leonardo DiCaprio's Appian Way production company has acquired the rights to remake the film through an auction.
In addition, the audience will get the chance to see DiCaprio playing the role of a vulnerable middle-aged man in an existential crisis played by Mads Mikkelsen in the Danish version. Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Davisson (The Revenant), a longtime collaborator, will executive produce the film.
The film will also be financed and distributed domestically by Endeavor Content and by Brad Weston and Negin Salmasi from Makeready Productions. Thomas Vinterberg, the writer/director of Another Round, will also be involved in the film's production.
