Delvistaa: A new interior for the ‘new normal’
The Delvistaa workplace now has a completely new look with transparent glass walls, wooden floor, terrace, book shelves, separate buffet counters, tea/coffee corners, conference room and separate sensor and auto light-based washroom zones for its members.
On entering the office of Delvistaa Ruparup, a 26-year old structure that was recently refurbished with a new interior décor, one will find hygienic ambience with ample touch of greenery.
The office houses seven enterprises -- Vistaara Architects, Delvistaa Limited, Development Entrepreneurs Limited, Tagore Terrace, Dhaka Gallery, Dot Magazine and Delvistaa Foundation.
After the lockdown began in late March 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the offices were completely shut down for two months. Later, from July, office activities resumed through work-from-home.

The shutdown created an opportunity to reimagine the office interior, and provide a new state of expression coping with the 'new normal' lifestyle.

On entering the office, clients and visitors will first come across a big map of Dhaka city on which optic fiber glass indicates architectural landmarks that 'Vistaara Architects' has so far completed. Another laser paper wood engraved map also clearly shows the completed projects by the firm.
The refurbished office also showcases several colourful paintings, contemporary sculptures and doodles printed on tiles and then fitted on the floor of the washrooms.
Indoor plants including Nageshwar, Kamini, Olive, Safeda and Money plant will definitely soothe people's eyes.
The first floor houses the architects, designers and interns, while the second floor accommodates administrative, finance and other officials.
Delvistaa Family specialises in the field of architectural design and consulting services, construction management and supervision, housing development in the real estate sector, and recently expanded into eatery and gallery ventures.
The first member of the family is Vistaara, which acts as the core business entity, focusing mainly on architectural consulting services, while providing expertise to the other building services. Development Entrepreneurs Limited (DEL) focuses on the urban settlement sector trying to complete more multi-family housing development projects.
One of DEL's projects in the Gulshan area of Dhaka City has been awarded with the country's highest architecture award 'IAB Design Award 1998'.
