Interior product and technology expo kicks off Thursday in Dhaka

A three-day-long interior product, furniture, materials and technology exhibition "InTech Expo 2025" will begin on Thursday (6 February) at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital, bringing together industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and design enthusiasts.

The event, which runs from 6-8 February at Hall No 3 of ICCB, will feature 80 stalls showcasing a diverse range of interior materials, furniture equipment, and machinery. Thirty institutions from nine countries are participating in this year's expo, promising an extensive array of products and innovations.

The exhibition will be open to the public daily from 10:30am to 8pm, with free entry for all visitors.

Speaking at a press conference held at Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) in Segunbagicha on Tuesday (4 February), Naimul Hossain Khan, CEO of Wood Tech Solution, said the expo will highlight how technology is transforming interior design, making it more sustainable and efficient.

Those interested in kitchen solutions, home decor products, ceramics, lighting, furniture, and other lifestyle items will benefit from the exhibition, he said.

The expo will also offer opportunities for professionals in the furniture and wooden door industries to discover the latest trends, with buyers able to place orders directly at the stalls, he added.

Talking to The Business Standard, Mohammad Ali Bhuiyan, president of the Bangladesh Interior Designer Company Owners Association (BIDCOA), stated that the combined interior and furniture market in Bangladesh is valued at approximately Tk1 lakh crore annually, growing at a rate of 15% per year.

Sheikh Fairoz Ahmed, director of F Touch Events Ltd, the organising institution, said, "InTech Expo 2025 is about kitchen solutions, interior, ceramics, lighting, furniture, home automation and other lifestyle products. On the other hand, the Furnitech Expo will showcase furniture equipment, power tools, machinery, and technology."

The event is sponsored by Woodtech Solution and Metaltech Solution.

According to the organisers, the expo will feature at least 50 domestic and international brands showcasing kitchen solutions, modern home decor, ceramics, fittings, and lighting technology. Attendees will also find furniture-making equipment, tools, and machinery tailored to industry professionals.

Participants from nine countries, including Bangladesh, will display products such as home and office furniture, doors, ceramics, bathroom fittings, sanitary and kitchenware, decorative and industrial lights, and interior design services.
