Chattogram Travel Fair draws enthusiastic crowds with exclusive travel deals

The Chattogram Travel Fair 2025 drew a large crowd on its second day today (16 May), as families, groups of friends, and solo travellers visited the Peninsula Hotel to explore a range of domestic and international travel offers.
The three-day international fair, inaugurated on Thursday by Chattogram City Corporation Mayor Shahadat Hossain at the Peninsula Hotel, features 27 organisations across 34 stalls.
Exhibitors are offering discounted air tickets, hotel bookings, visa assistance, and exclusive tour packages.
Organised by The Bangladesh Monitor, with support from US-Bangla Airlines and online travel agency BuyTickets, the event is scheduled to conclude at 8pm today.
A raffle draw is held each evening, offering visitors the chance to win airline tickets and complimentary hotel or resort stays.
Exhibitors reported a strong response from attendees.
"We are getting great feedback. We are offering up to 70% discounts on visas to first-world countries and up to 50% off on others. We handle everything from visas to full tour packages," said Mahvin of ITS Holidays Ltd.
A visitor at the fair, university student Anik, said, "I came looking for Nepal tour packages but ended up finding great options for Bhutan. Events like this help travel lovers discover offers and opportunities they may not know about. I fully support such initiatives."
Pijush Bagchi, head of Marketing for the organising committee, said, "This fair, like every year, is for the travel-loving public. The agencies have brought exciting deals, and visitors are making the most of them. Friday's turnout has been tremendous, and we are optimistic about expanding the event even further in the future."
The fair continued to attract steady footfall, with visitors looking to take advantage of travel discounts ahead of the upcoming holiday season.
