The expo will run from 8 to 10 January at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB)
The 6th AHCAB International Expo 2026, a three-day animal health fair, will begin on Thursday in Dhaka, bringing fresh opportunities for innovation, investment and sustainable growth in Bangladesh's animal health, fisheries and livestock sectors.
The expo will run from 8 to 10 January at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB), organised by the Animal Health Companies Association of Bangladesh (AHCAB) under the theme "Healthy Animals, Prosperous Nation," according to a press conference announcement held today (5 January) at the National Press Club in the capital.
Organisers said the fair will be inaugurated at 3pm on 8 January by Farida Akhter, adviser to the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock. Abu Taher Muhammad Jabbar, secretary of the ministry, will attend as a special guest, while Md Abu Sufian will be present as an honoured guest.
AHCAB's IT and Media Affairs Convener Mohammad Rashedul Zakir, who presided over the press conference, said the expo will feature 128 foreign stalls from 14 countries, including China, India, Egypt, Romania, Turkey and Vietnam, with the participation of 65 international exhibitors alongside leading local companies.
He said the exhibition will showcase modern animal health products, vaccines, medicines, feed solutions, diagnostics and advanced technologies. A series of seminars will also take place, where local and international experts will discuss animal health, sustainable development and global trade. The expo is expected to serve as a valuable networking platform for farmers, veterinarians, agribusiness leaders and policymakers.
Speaking at the event, AHCAB President Sayemul Haque said the association, established in 2003 with 18 organisations, now has 800 registered members, more than 400 of whom are active. He said AHCAB works closely with institutions such as the National Board of Revenue (NBR), Department of Livestock Services, Department of Fisheries and the Ministry of Commerce, and has been organising international expos since 2012.
Highlighting the benefits for marginal farmers, he said 220 companies, including 124 foreign companies, will participate in the fair. Farmers will gain access to new technologies, global industry trends and upcoming vaccines, as well as opportunities to build professional networks.
