Rain brings comfort to city life
Whole country has seen some unbearable heat wave in last few weeks
Rain brings relief for Dhaka residents on Thursday morning after a prolonged period of what seemed like a never-ending heat wave.
Not just Dhaka, the whole country is likely to experience light to moderate rain with scattered thunderstorm on Thursday, said meteorologist Mohammad Shahinul Islam.
“A light depression has formed in the Bay of Bengal, which is the main reason behind this rain,” he told The Business Standard.

“There will be thunderstorm in the coastal areas because of that light depression,” he added.
Shahinur Islam further said this sort of rain is completely normal in the beginning of the rainy season. There is a possibility of light rain almost every day for the next two months.
The websites of Accuweather and Weather.com also show that most parts of the country will be under a light to moderate rain as well as some isolated thunderstorm during the next week.
