Met office forecasts rain across country in the next 24 hours

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today (30 July) forecasted rain in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9am.
"Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind are likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal and Sylhet divisions and at many places over Chattogram division," said a Met office bulletin issued this morning.
Besides, it said, moderately heavy to heavy falls may occur at places over the country.
Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The highest temperature on Wednesday was 35.2 degrees Celsius in Sylhet, while today's minimum temperature is 22.6 degrees Celsius in Narayanganj.
In the last 24 hours (till 6am today), the highest rainfall of 89 millimetres occurred in Teknaf.
