Extensive damage was caused to various crops including electricity poles. The movement of vehicles has disrupted as the stalks of the trees are lying on the road.

Gaibandha Deputy Commissioner Abdul Matin said over phone that the storm suddenly started at around 4pm. The houses and trees in different areas were twisted. Four people died when trees fell on them. Many more were injured.
