Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Tuesday forecast rain or thundershowers with gusts of wind in several parts of the country, including the capital.

The meteorological department also said that there could be hail in some places.

"Rain or thundershower accompanied by temporary gusty/squally wind is likely to occur at a few places over Sylhet division and at one or two places over Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chattogram divisions with hails at isolated places," according to the met office.

The weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.

Temperatures may drop slightly across the country during the day and night, according to the met office.

On Monday, the country's maximum temperature was 37.0 degrees Celsius in Rangamati, Chattogram division, and the country's minimum temperature was 17.9 degrees Celsius in Tetulia, Rangpur division.

In the capital, the sun sets at 6.14 pm today and rises at 05.52 am tomorrow.
