Met office forecasts rain in parts of country
In the last 24 hours (till 06 am today), the highest 61 millimetre rainfall occurred in Teknaf.
Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today (1 September) forecasted rain in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9 am.
"Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind are likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions," said a Met office bulletin issued this morning.
Besides, it said, moderately heavy to heavy falls may occur in places all over the country. Day and night temperatures may fall slightly over the country.
The highest temperature on Monday was 35.6 degrees Celsius in Nikli of Kishoreganj, while today's minimum temperature is 23.5 degrees Celsius in Sylhet. In the last 24 hours (till 06 am today), the highest 61 millimetre rainfall occurred in Teknaf.
The sun sets at 6:17 pm today and rises at 5:40 am tomorrow in Dhaka.
