Shilpakala hosts 2nd IDLC theatre festival
Dramas titled Rosh Puran and Bhoddornok were staged on the first day.

With an aim to celebrate the long heritage of theatres in Bangladesh, IDLC Finance Limited inaugurated its 2nd theatre festival on November 19, 2019 at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA).
Asaduzzaman Noor MP, CEO and MD, IDLC Arif Khan and President of International Theatre Institution (ITI) Ramendu Majumdar graced the ceremony as special guests.
On the opening day, renowned classical dancer Rachel Priyanka mesmerised the audience with her performance of gauriya nrittya.
Theatre groups Nattyochokkro, Tarua, Podatik Nattyo Shongshod, Shobdo Nattyochorcha Kendro, Somoy Nattyodol, Dhaka Theatre, Arshinagar Theater and Nagorik Nattyangon will perform in the fest.
Dramas titled Rosh Puran and Bhoddornok were staged on the first day whereas Let me out, Gohor Badsha and Banechha Pori were staged on the second day. On the third day, audience will get to see Paicho Chorer Kissha and Chondrabati.
Bhager Manush and Dhaboman will be showed on day four and on the fifth and last day of the fest, Rohu Chondaler Har and Paayer Awaj Pawa Jaye will be staged, followed by a closing ceremony.
The festival is open for all and the ticket prices will be donated to the Group Theatre Federation Welfare Trust.
