Ambassador of Bangladesh to Oman Mizanur Rahman said Bangladesh wants to see itself as a trade and investment partner of Oman.
The ambassador made the statement during a courtesy call on Sheikh Mohmed Al Shanfri, Chief of West Asia Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oman on Monday, said a press release issued by the ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Ambassador Rahman also said that this is the high time the two countries take their bilateral relations to a new phase and greater heights.
At that time, the Omani Chief of West Asia Department agreed to boost relations in areas of bilateral political relations, trade, investment and education, the release said.
During the visit, the ambassador also handed over the letter from the President inviting Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman to attend the celebration the Birth Centenary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
