Stocks surge as turnover hits Tk400cr mark
Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) witnessed a continuing upward trend today (11 March), with the benchmark index, DSEX, climbing 8 points and marking its second consecutive session of gains.
DSEX rose by 0.16% to close at 5,199 points at the end of trading this afternoon.
The blue-chip index, DS30, also saw an uptick, gaining 4 points to settle at 1,894.

The market activity saw a significant boost as turnover surged to Tk400 crore, a level not seen in the past seven sessions. This increase in turnover reflects heightened investor participation.
Among the top performers, Orion Infusion led the turnover chart with shares worth Tk25.90 crore traded, followed by Beach Hatchery and Lovello Ice-cream.
Meanwhile, S Alam Cold Rolled Steels emerged as the day's top gainer, showcasing strong investor interest.
On the flip side, Summit Power struggled, ending the session as the worst performer.
