Runner Automobiles sees nine-month bottom line in the green despite Q1 losses
The company has successfully recovered from substantial losses incurred in the first quarter, driven by a strong performance in its three-wheeler division

Runner Automobiles, which incurred losses in the last two consecutive fiscal years, has reported a profit for the first nine months of FY2024-25, successfully recovering from substantial losses incurred in the first quarter, driven by a strong performance in its three-wheeler division.
According to its unaudited financials, its consolidated earnings per share (EPS) stood at Tk0.07, a significant improvement from Tk3.57 per share loss in the same period of the previous fiscal year.
In the first quarter, covering the period from July to September 2024, Runner Automobiles posted a consolidated loss per share of Tk0.72. However, the company achieved profitability in the subsequent two quarters, from October 2024 to March 2025.
According to its financials, in the third quarter, its consolidated EPS stood at Tk0.43. At the same time in the previous year, its consolidated loss per share was Tk1.35. Its consolidated EPS stood at Tk0.35 in the second quarter.
The engineering sector firm said its price-sensitive information on its website that like previous quarters, the company showed improved financial performance achieved in the third quarter through enhanced marketing activities, exercising cost control, and managing funds efficiently.
"Although the rising financing costs and adverse exchange rate fluctuations continue to pose challenges, the company, however, remains confident in its growth plan, supported by increasing demand in the three-wheeler segment and encouraging early positive results from its eBike initiatives in the two-wheeler segment. Company's commercial vehicle segment also continues to show improved performance," it stated.
The company said that its three-wheeler business achieved significant growth in the revenue line, which resulted in positive EPS in the last quarter.
Yesterday, its share price closed at Tk28.80 each, which is 3.03% lower than the previous trading session.
