The benchmark index DSEX of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) dropped by 89 points to close at 5,538 points today (9 September) due to the investors selling pressure.

Besides, the blue-chip DS30 also plunged by 39 points to 2,152.

Out of the trading stocks, 68 advanced, 305 declined and 28 remained unchanged.

Investors' participation also decreased as the daily turnover fell to Tk1,177 crore.
