The turnover of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) dipped below Tk300 crore for the first time in four months as investor participation declined amid subdued confidence due to a prolonged bearish trend.

Meanwhile, the benchmark index DSEX of the DSE also dropped by 17 points to close at 4,935, while the blue-chip DS30 fell by 6 points to settle at 1,824.
Among the traded stocks, 136 advanced, while 211 declined and 50 remained unchanged.
BRAC Bank topped the turnover table, but its share price dropped by 0.81% to close at Tk49.10 despite the bank posting a record profit in the last year.
Delta Spinners led the gainers list, while Power Grid emerged as the worst performer of the day, as it incurred a significant loss in the January-March quarter of FY25.
