Berger Paints' profit plunges 11% in Apr-Jun

Berger Paints Bangladesh reported that its consolidated net profit dropped by 11% in the April-June quarter of this year, compared to the previous year.
According to the company's financial statement published on its website today (29 July), its consolidated net profit was Tk85.68 crore, which was Tk96.17 crore in the same quarter previous year.
At the end of June 2025, its consolidated earnings per share stood at Tk18.48, which was Tk20.74 a year ago at the same time.
But its consolidated revenue slightly grew to Tk708.72 crore during the quarter.
The company said the consolidated net profit decreased mainly due to currency devaluation, which impacted raw materials costs resulted in increase in costs of sales.
Today, its shares closed 0.70% higher at Tk1,532 at the Dhaka bourse.
