Stocks tumble amid investors’ selling pressure
DSEX fell by 0.25% or 13.56 points to 5,296 and CASPI at the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) lost 6.70 points to 15,372 till 11 am

Equity indices of the stock exchanges plummeted amid investors' selling pressure caused by book quick profit during the first hour of the trading session on Sunday.
DSEX, the key index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), fell by 0.25% or 13.56 points to 5,296 till 11 am.
However, DSE turnover, a major market indicator, rose by 15% to Tk253 crore during the session.
Beximco Limited was the highest gainer and secured the top position in the turnover chart at DSE, followed by British American Tobacco and BD Finance.
Out of the 331 issues traded during the same time frame, DSE had 82 gainers against 182 losers, while prices of 67 scrips remained unchanged.
Meanwhile, the benchmark index CASPI at the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) lost 6.70 points to 15,372.
