Tareq Refat Ullah appointed BRAC Bank MD, CEO
Khan joined BRAC Bank in 2017 as head of Credit Risk Management, bringing about three decades of experience at leading financial institutions.
The Board of Directors of BRAC Bank PLC has appointed Tareq Refat Ullah Khan as the managing director and chief executive officer (MD & CEO) of the bank, effective from 2 September.
Khan has been serving as MD & CEO (current charge) since 27 May 2025.
Earlier, in April 2025, he was promoted to additional managing director and head of Corporate & Institutional Banking in recognition of his leadership in driving innovation, business expansion, and organisational transformation, reads a press release.
Khan joined BRAC Bank in 2017 as head of Credit Risk Management, bringing about three decades of experience at leading financial institutions including Eastern Bank, AB Bank, and IFIC Bank. His career has been marked by innovation and excellence, particularly in Corporate and Institutional Banking, Transaction Banking, and Risk Management.
He began his career with IFIC Bank and later held senior leadership roles at AB Bank and Eastern Bank Limited (EBL), where he was executive vice president and head of Relationship, Corporate Banking Division.
