Indices of the both stock exchanges witnessed downward trend in the first one and half hour trading session on Monday.

DSEX, the key index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) dropped by 0.23% or 13.20 points to settle at 5,491 till 11:30 am.

During this session, DSE turnover rose by 5% to Tk260.61 crore.

Beximco Limited secured the top position in the turnover chart with trading value of Tk52.45 crore.

Moreover, DSE Shariah index DSES gained 0.22% to 1,238 points and the blue-chip index DS30 fell by 0.65% to 2,077 points.

During this session, 111 companies share price rose, while 98 issues fell and 123 issues price remain unchanged during the session at the DSE.

The benchmark index CASPI at the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) fell by 59 points to 15,857 till 11:30 am.
