Govt working to meet reasonable demands of garment workers: Home ministry
While stating that creating anarchy and instability in the garments industry and stopping vehicular movement by blocking roads are unexpected and will never be accepted, the statement added that the law enforcement agencies will prevent such incidents with an iron fist

The government is working to fulfill all the reasonable demands of the garment workers, the home ministry said in a statement today (27 March).
"The government has cordially agreed to all the reasonable demands, including pending dues, of the workers of readymade garments and other factories. The government is putting all-out efforts to meet the appropriate demands of the workers," the statement reads.
"The owners of the factories and Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) have been given directives in this regard and their activities are being monitored," the statement added.
While stating that creating anarchy and instability in the garments industry and stopping vehicular movement by blocking roads are unexpected and will never be accepted, the statement added that the law enforcement agencies will prevent such incidents with an iron fist.
"The government is expecting cooperation from the owners and the workers to maintain a secure and proper environment in the garments industry and keep the overall law and order situation in the country normal," the statement further said.
