More than a hundred workers have fallen ill after eating their factory provided night meal at a garment factory in Tongi of Gazipur.
"Of the workers, 70 have been hospitalised," Gazipur Industrial Police-2 Inspector Md Ismail Hossain told The Business Standard confirming the incident.
The incident took place at around 9:00pm in the Baraka Fashion Limited in the Boro Deora Singhbari area of Tongi in Gazipur on Thursday (23 January) night.

"The factory was declared closed for the night," said Inspector Ismail.
Police and local sources said some 1,100 workers work at the factory.
The sick workers have been admitted to the nearby Gutia International Medical College Hospital, they added.
