Obayed Ullah joins Rupali Bank as MD & CEO
The Finance Ministry issued a gazette notification regarding his appointment
Md Obayed Ullah Al Masud has joined Rupali Bank Limited as its managing director and chief executive officer (CEO) on Tuesday.
The Finance Ministry issued a gazette notification regarding his appointment.
He worked at Sonali Bank as MD and CEO in last three years. He put the bank on a solid base realizing a huge amount of defaulted loans and made good profits.

During his tenure there, the bank made a profit of Tk 4,101 crores and collected loans amounting Tk 6,656 crores, which is unprecedented in its history.
Earlier, Obayed Ullah worked as MD of Karmasangsthan Bank. Prior to this, he worked as Deputy Managing Director of Agrani Bank.
Obayed Ullah started his career as senior officer of Agrani Bank in 1983. He has successfully been performing duties for long 36 years as a banker.
He completed his B.com (Hon’s) degree in Management from University of Dhaka in 1982 and MBA in Finance from IBA in 1988.
