VoB Week 2025 concludes with the launch of 14th magazine issue

Voice of Business (VoB), the country's first student-run magazine publication club, successfully organized the 14th season of "VoB Week" on February 19 and 20 at the Faculty of Business Studies (FBS) premises of the University of Dhaka.
On February 20, the club launched the 14th edition of its magazine at the Professor Dr. Abdullah Farouk Multipurpose Hall. Professor Dr. Mahmood Osman Imam, Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies, attended as the chief guest. Highlighting the importance of co-curricular activities, he stated, "Academic knowledge broadens our perspective, but co-curricular activities enhance our communication and leadership skills."
The same day, the prize-giving ceremony for "VoB Writing Contest 24" was held, celebrating outstanding contributions. Additionally, the club warmly welcomed its new members through various engaging activities and cultural performances.
A major highlight of VoB Week was the Job Fair, held on February 19. More than 15 renowned local and multinational companies, including Eastern Bank Limited, Arla, Mutual Trust Bank, and IDLC, participated, offering students valuable networking opportunities.
Speaking to The Business Standard, VoB's General Secretary, Naima Zia, expressed her excitement, stating, "This magazine is an important medium through which we can express our thoughts, opinions, and ideas. It is not just a publication; it is a powerful platform to share our perspectives with others. Each issue presents new ideas, creativity, and different views of society. It creates an open space for our community where everyone can raise their voice. Freedom of expression is one of the basic rights of people, and this magazine helps to protect and promote that freedom. We hope this tradition continues and becomes a source of inspiration for future generations."
Founded in 2007, Voice of Business has established itself as Bangladesh's first student-run magazine publication club. Over the years, it has published 14 editions of its magazine and organized various events, including BRANDrill, writing contests, and seminars, creating a lasting impact in the academic and business communities.
