Uttara University ranked 257th globally in innovation rankings

Uttara University has been ranked 257th in the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) 2025, placing it among the top 400 most innovative universities worldwide. This achievement reflects the university's commitment to real-world impact, progressive education, and innovation-driven growth.

The WURI ranking evaluates universities based on creativity, innovation, and contributions to society, rather than traditional academic metrics. Uttara University's inclusion in this list highlights its evolving role in addressing global challenges through education and practical solutions.

Alongside its overall ranking, the university earned notable positions in several key categories. It has been ranked first globally in Infrastructure and Technologies, ninth in University Brand and Reputation, and tenth in SDG-based responses to global challenges. These distinctions demonstrate the institution's ongoing investment in modernising its academic infrastructure and expanding its global engagement.

On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Eaysmin Ara Lekha and Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Gour Gobinda Goswami extended their congratulations to all members of the university community, including faculty, administrative staff, students, alumni, and supporters.

Professor Dr Eaysmin Ara Lekha stated that the global recognition is not only a source of pride for Uttara University but also for Bangladesh. She called upon all stakeholders to work collectively towards strengthening the university's international standing.

This latest recognition reinforces Uttara University's position as a forward-thinking institution that values academic excellence, social responsibility, and global relevance, while continuing its efforts to empower students and communities through education and innovation.
