United Finance launches ‘urise’ startup loan programme
United Finance has launched "URise", a dedicated loan programme designed to support start-ups under Bangladesh Bank's refinancing scheme.
The inauguration ceremony was held at the company's head office, marking a significant step towards promoting innovation and entrepreneurship in Bangladesh. Applications for the programme are being collected digitally through United Finance's mobile app, UMA, ensuring a seamless and accessible process for aspiring entrepreneurs.
During the ceremony, Managing Director, Mohammad Rafiqul Islam; Deputy Managing Director, Mohammed Abul Ahasan; and Sudip Saha, Head of SME and Women Entrepreneur Financing, shared their perspectives on the initiative.
In his remarks, Managing Director, Mohammad Rafiqul Islam, highlighted United Finance's long-standing commitment to financial inclusion. "For thirty-six years, United Finance has stood beside marginalised communities. We believe in the power of youth and innovation, and we are excited to introduce Bangladesh Bank-supported start-up loans at an affordable cost. With a simpler, fully digital process, we aspire to be an enabler of Bangladesh's growing start-up ecosystem," he said.
Start-ups interested in applying can do so directly through the United Finance mobile app, UMA, available on both the App Store and Google Play Store.
