UNICO hospital observes women’s day with rights and equality-themed programme
Unico Hospital marked International Women's Day 2026 with a series of programmes under this year's theme, "Rights, equality and empowerment for all women and girls".
As part of the observance, the hospital organised a rally in the morning, where participants carried placards calling for women's rights and equality. This was followed by a discussion attended by invited guests, senior officials and employees to recognise the contribution of women.
Shirin Akter Shela, Miss Universe Bangladesh 2019, attended the event as chief guest. Munira Khan, president of the Fair Election Monitoring Alliance (FEMA), was present as special guest. Ardra Kurien, CEO of Unico Hospital, and other members of the management also spoke at the programme.

On the occasion, Unico Hospital launched a special health package titled "SHE", aimed at encouraging cancer screening among women. The package includes several diagnostic tests — CBC with ESR, CEA, THS, HbA1c and breast USG — along with complimentary consultation services.
Unico Hospital said it was observing the day by honouring women who inspire, lead and care in different spheres of life.
