Trust Bank and bKash introduce two-way fund transfer service

Trust Bank and bKash have launched a two-way fund transfer service, enabling customers to seamlessly send money to their own or others' Trust Bank accounts through the bKash app. Additionally, customers can continue using the 'add money' service to transfer funds to bKash accounts via the 'Trust Money' app. This integration provides users of both platforms with greater flexibility and control over their financial transactions.

The service launch event took place at Trust Bank PLC's Head Office and was jointly inaugurated by Ahsan Zaman Chowdhury, Managing Director of Trust Bank PLC, and Kamal Quadir, CEO of bKash. Senior officials from both organisations were also present at the event.

To use the service, customers can access the bKash app and select either the 'Add Money' or 'bKash to Bank' icon from the home screen. After selecting the 'Bank Account' option and tapping the 'Trust Bank PLC' icon, users must link their bKash and Trust Bank accounts by providing essential information. The mobile number associated with both accounts must match for the link to be established. Customers can also transfer funds directly by inputting a Trust Bank account number for transactions involving other Trust Bank accounts.

Once the link is established, money can be transferred from a Trust Bank account to a bKash account using the app's 'Add Money' service. The 'bKash to Bank' service enables customers to deposit money, pay DPS, and settle loan instalments without visiting a bank branch. SMS notifications will confirm each successful transaction, and Bangladesh Bank's transaction limits will apply to all transfers. Charges are applicable only for transactions from bKash to Trust Bank accounts.
