Top business leaders recognised at Bangladesh c-suite awards 2025
Twenty-four outstanding corporate leaders across 23 categories were honoured at the 4th Bangladesh C-Suite Awards, presented by Mutual Trust Bank PLC, powered by AIUB (American International University-Bangladesh) and United Group, and in association with Twelve Clothing.
The flagship event, organised by Bangladesh Brand Forum, took place yesterday at the United Convention Centre.
The gala brought together the country's leading corporate minds — C-suite executives, boardroom leaders, founders, strategists, and institutional decision-makers — for a celebration of leadership shaping Bangladesh's next phase of corporate transformation.
Welcoming attendees, Shariful Islam, Founder and Managing Director of Bangladesh Brand Forum, said: "The strength of a nation lies in the quality of its leadership. Today, more than ever, Bangladesh needs leaders who can think beyond profit, act with purpose, and uphold integrity while driving growth. The C-Suite Awards is not just a recognition — it is a call to elevate the standards of leadership across every sector of our economy."
This year's awards received 102 nominations from 51 organisations, reflecting growing interest and a heightened competitive spirit within the corporate sector. Winners were selected through a rigorous evaluation process by a distinguished Council Board comprising experts in corporate leadership, business academia, strategic consultancy, and economic policy. The panel included:
- Ashraf Bin Taj, Co-Founder & Managing Director, International Distribution Company Bangladesh PLC
- Professor Imran Rahman, School of Business, ULAB
- Mohammad Naquib Uddin Khan, Country Head & Ambassador, University of Technology Sydney
- Dr A K Enamul Haque, Director General, Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS)
- M Zulfiquar Hussain, CEO & Lead Consultant, grow n excel
Since inception, the Bangladesh C-Suite Awards has evolved into one of the country's most trusted platforms for recognising excellence and spotlighting leaders who consistently set new benchmarks for corporate governance, innovation, and ethical leadership.
Earlier in the day, Bangladesh Brand Forum hosted the 9th Leadership Summit at the same venue under the theme 'Resilient Leadership – Thriving Amid Uncertainty'. The summit gathered influential business leaders, founders, development practitioners, academics, and investors to examine how leadership must adapt amid shifting economic realities.
The day featured three keynote sessions, three panel discussions, and an insight session.
Keynote presentations were delivered by
- Professor Dr A K Enamul Haque, BIDS, on economic and financial resilience
- Eisuke Tachikawa, Founder & Design Strategist, Nosigner; Professor, Keio University, on creativity-driven leadership
- Professor Andrew Karl Delios, National University of Singapore, on leadership models for emerging economies
Panel and insight sessions explored financial discipline as a leadership currency, the competencies required to navigate volatility, and the governance reforms needed to ensure long-term stability. Speakers emphasised accountability, data-driven decision-making, and institutional preparedness as foundations for national progress.
Together, the Leadership Summit and the Bangladesh C-Suite Awards 2025 underscored a unified message: Bangladesh's future growth will depend on leaders who uphold values, prioritise clarity and resilience, and prepare organisations for a decade of rapid transformation.
