Southeast University observes Independence Day

Southeast University organised a discussion titled Shroddhay Gourobe Shwadhinota Dibosh to mark the Independence Day of Bangladesh at the university's Shahid Imtiaz Hall.

The event was presided over by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr Yusuf Mahbubul Islam, while the keynote address was delivered by Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Dr M Mofazzal Hossain. The university's Registrar, Major General (Retd) Md Anwarul Islam, also spoke on the occasion.

In their remarks, the speakers reflected on different aspects of the Liberation War and underscored the significance of truly understanding the spirit of independence. They urged students to dedicate themselves to the nation's progress with sincerity and commitment.

Professor Dr Farhana Mehtab Helal, Dean of the School of Arts and Social Sciences and Convener of the Event Implementation Committee, delivered the welcome speech.

The event was attended by deans, department heads, faculty members, administrative officials, staff and students, making it a meaningful celebration of the nation's pride and heritage.
