South Point banani students shine in o’ and a’ level exams 2025

South Point School & College, Banani Campus, has maintained its tradition of academic excellence in the June 2025 O-Level and A-Level examinations, with seven students earning the prestigious Daily Star Award, recognising outstanding academic achievement.
Overall performance
- O-Level results: 77 A and A* grades (60%), 30 B grades (23%). Seven students were nominated for the Daily Star Award.
- A-Level results: 31 A and A* grades (58%), 7 B grades (13%). Seven students were nominated for the Daily Star Award.
Principal Colonel E M Morshed Alam, MPhil, PhD, expressed gratitude to teachers, students and parents, attributing the results to hard work, family support and the guidance of the experienced faculty.
Established in 2002 with 200 students, South Point now serves more than 18,000 learners across Bangla Medium, English Version and English Medium streams.
The institution operates under the patronage of Engineer M A Rashid, Chairman of Karnaphuli Shipbuilders, and the guidance of Mrs Hamida Ali, former Principal of Viqarunnisa Noon College.
